Phinisi, motor yacht or expedition vessel?
The three kinds of boat you will see on the board, and who each one suits.
Phinisi
The traditional Indonesian wooden sailing ship, built by hand in South Sulawesi. Big decks, warm wood, and sails that make every photo. Most sail for show and motor between islands. The classic choice for Komodo.
Motor yacht
Faster, with more air-conditioned indoor space and modern finishes. Good for shorter trips where you want to cover more islands, and for guests who prefer a contemporary feel.
Expedition vessel
Larger steel boats built for long range, often with dive centres, big tenders and more cabins. Ideal for Raja Ampat, the Spice Islands and larger groups.
