Why charter in Komodo

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site between Sumbawa and Flores, made up of Komodo, Rinca, Padar and dozens of smaller islands. The dry season brings calm anchorages, clear water and golden hills.

Charters start and end in Labuan Bajo, so there is no long transfer. Three nights covers the dragons, Padar and the mantas. Five to seven lets you slow down and reach the quieter southern bays.

When is the best time to charter in Komodo?

The main season is May to October, the dry months. That is when the fleet is based in Komodo and the anchorages are calmest.

Do I need a park permit?

Yes. National park entrance and conservation fees are charged per guest. Some yachts include them and some do not, so your quote lists them line by line.

How many nights do I need?

Three nights covers the essentials: dragons, Padar and the mantas. Five to seven nights is more relaxed and reaches the quieter south of the park.
